Financial Aid Updates

***ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS

Foundation Scholarships are now available!  Apply online at https://secure.truman.edu/isupport-s/login.asp?page=/isupport-s/default.asp.

***2010-2011 FAFSA Reminder

Please file your 2010-2011 FAFSA if you have not done so already.  It is important to file ASAP to be considered for all available funding.  April 1 is the deadline for the Access Missouri Program (MANY of our in-state students lost out on FREE Access Missouri money ranging from $1,000 to $1,680 this year due to late FAFSA filing – don’t let this happen to you!).  The website to file is www.fafsa.gov and our school code is 002495.

The Academic Progress Policy can be reviewed at the following link: http://financialaid.truman.edu/Academicprogress.asp.  It is important to review this information because the federal and state programs have different terms and conditions for continued eligibility.

The 2010 Summer Financial Aid Information and Application will be available on our website in early March.  The Federal Pell Grant is now a year-round program so, if you have eligibility from your 2009-10 and/or 2010-11 FAFSA, you may be eligible for a Federal Pell Grant for summer courses at Truman.

Please pass this information on to your friends!

  • You can file the FAFSA using estimates in order to meet the recommended early date (just remember to make the corrections as soon as the information is available).
  • The FAFSA should be filed early even if you are not sure where you will be attending, if you will be attending, or if you will meet the satisfactory academic progress requirements.
  • Almost everyone, regardless of family income, can qualify for the Federal Stafford Loan.
  • Just because you receive a scholarship doesn’t mean that you may not qualify for federal or state aid.
